Legend
People have been doing business with one another since time immemorial: hunters, fishermen, potters... The potter needed venison and the hunter needed pots to keep his meat in – thus they exchanged their goods one for the other.
Then expensive goods started coming in from far-off lands, and bartering was replaced by money-based deals. A special place appeared where you could exchange your goods for money, and it came to be called the market. Trade in the Hanseatic League developed, more variety of goods started appearing, and the speed of goods movement as well as quality control increased
The goods sold at market remain the same to this day: it has always been possible to get the freshest and most natural produce from there. Doing deals and socialising with your acquaintances still takes place, as it has for centuries, at the market too.
At the Market Restaurant we hold those thousands of years of tradition in high regard, as in all the markets around the world.
